The EuroGeoSurveys Water Resources Expert Group (WREG), together with the Geological Service for Europe (GSEU) project, will co-organise the hybrid seminar "Science-based Forest and Landscape Management for Safeguarding Water" on 24 August. The session will highlight how Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) can strengthen water security, climate resilience, food security, and sustainable livelihoods by incorporating hydrological knowledge into restoration planning and governance.

The seminar will present science-based tools, best practices, and collaborative approaches that integrate ecosystem services, water resource management, policy development, financing mechanisms, and local stakeholder engagement.
