Appeal of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists to the Professional Community
The public organization the Ukrainian Association of Geologists (UAG) was established in 2000 with the aim of uniting professionals in the field of Earth sciences.
The mission of the UAG is to promote the development and prestige of geological professions, preserve the achievements and traditions of the Ukrainian geological school, in particular the human resources and intellectual potential of Ukrainian geology, and protect the rights and interests of its members.
In response to the global challenges of the 21st century, the UAG mobilizes the professional community to participate in processes of sustainable development, green transformation, and the green transition, in particular by fostering constructive dialogue among all stakeholders both in Ukraine and internationally.
To expand professional contacts, the Ukrainian Association of Geologists has become a member of a number of influential international geological organizations, including: the European Federation of Geologists (EFG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA), as well as other leading professional organizations. The UAG regularly participates in their events and is a co-executor of numerous international projects.
