Understanding the subsurface is also essential for preparing communities for natural hazards, adapting to climate change, and protecting the landscapes we love.
Through the Geological Service for Europe (GSEU) project, experts from geological surveys across Europe are working together to generate and share this knowledge. By strengthening cooperation, data access, and scientific expertise, GSEU helps ensure that decision-makers have the information they need to manage Europe’s subsurface sustainably.
