Deliverables and materials covering the main areas of the GSEU project have been published and are available in open access.
Raw Materials
- Report on methodology and guidance for EU-level data harmonization with UNFC;
- European onshore CRM resource evaluation;
- European offshore CRM resource evaluation;
- ICE-SRM EU organizational scheme, business plan, working plan and partner & expert register.
In 2025, maps of Critical Raw Material deposits in Europe were also published, covering onshore resources and offshore occurrences and deposits.
Groundwater Resources
- European groundwater monitoring database;
- Methodology and protocol for assessing groundwater quality;
- Prototypes for EU wide visualization of groundwater quality patterns;
- Catalogue of vulnerable aquifers for droughts.
GeoEnergy Resources
- Online knowledge and competence hub supporting the appraisal and evaluation of SGEC’s in Europe;
- development of the pan-European online Sustainable GeoEnergy Capacities (SGEC) Atlas with harmonised maps and databases of GeoEnergy potential.
The area covers, among others, geothermal energy, geological storage of CO₂ and temporary storage of sustainable energy carriers.
Coast and Sea
- Report on added value of geology for coastal vulnerability assessments;
- GSEU’s positioning on marine geological information in light of offshore windfarms and coastal vulnerability to environmental and climate change;
- Pan-European catalogue of key parameters for offshore windfarm siting;
- EGDI multifunctional 2D/3D decision-support module.
Geological Framework Setup
- EGDI Data Hub feeding FAIR EGDI data into surrounding EU information infrastructures;
- Inventory of geological maps, map data sets, models, and services in the EGDI Metadata Catalogue;
- Conceptual model for multiscale geological data in 2&3D;
- multifunctional 2D/3D decision-support module;
- rules and recommendations for the further development of EGDI.

The project continues until 2027, with further development of pan-European datasets, geological services, digital infrastructure and cooperation networks.
