The GSEU project participated in the PDAC 2026 convention, held from 1–4 March 2026 in Toronto, Canada. This is the world’s largest international event dedicated to mineral exploration and mining.
During the event, the project highlighted European expertise in geological research and mineral resource management. At the EU Booth, the EuroGeoSurveys team presented key project outcomes aimed at enhancing geological knowledge and supporting the responsible development of Europe’s mineral resources. One of the main exhibits was the latest version of the Map of Critical Raw Materials hard rock deposits of Europe (2024).
Julie Hollis, Secretary General of EuroGeoSurveys, also presented the project during a dedicated speaking slot in the conference program.
Additionally, GSEU supported EuroGeoSurveys and the European Technology Platform on Sustainable Mineral Resources (ETP SMR) during the Europe-focused session “Unlocking Europe’s Mineral Raw Materials Potential: New Data, New Projects, New Opportunities”, which highlighted European initiatives advancing geological data, innovation, and international collaboration to strengthen the continent’s mineral sector.
