On 2–3 March 2026, an online workshop was held as part of the Geological Service for Europe (GSEU) project, focused on sharing practices and tools for quantifying and communicating uncertainties in geological models and maps.

The workshop, titled “Workshop: Exploring, Quantifying and Communicating Uncertainties in Geological Models”, provided a platform for exchanging modern approaches, tools, and challenges related to the assessment and communication of uncertainties in geological models and mapping.

The main goal of the workshop was to share expertise, identify common challenges, and explore practical methods for effectively communicating uncertainties to both the scientific community and other stakeholders.

The workshop was conducted as part of a GSEU task aimed at developing a shared European set of open-source tools for geological modelling.
