Ukrainian Geological Survey to Join UNICEF Project on Drinking Water Monitoring in Kherson Region

The Ukrainian Geological Survey discussed participation in a project to monitor and improve access to drinking water in the Kherson region with representatives of UNICEF Ukraine and the Kherson Regional Development Agency.


The project is an initiative of UNICEF and is being implemented with financial support from international donors. It aims to establish a groundwater quality monitoring system to improve access to drinking water in the Kherson region. One of its components will be online monitoring of selected wells.

During the meeting, Serhii Vlasenko, Acting Head of the Ukrainian Geological Survey, noted that the Survey would support the project’s implementation at the professional level within its mandate.
