Ukraine and France Expand Cooperation in the Field of Geology

The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has approved the State Water Monitoring Program for 2026


On 3 February, a meeting was held between the co-chairs of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation — Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, and Nicolas Forissier, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Attractiveness under the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic.

During the meeting, the parties announced the launch of the France–Ukraine Business Council and reaffirmed France’s readiness to strengthen support for investment projects in Ukraine.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between BRGM and the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine. The agreement provides for enhanced cooperation in the fields of geology, critical mineral raw materials, subsoil use, and the exchange of scientific and practical expertise.
