The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine held an electronic auction for the sale of six special permits for the use of subsoil through the Prozorro.Sales system.
Licensed plots with deposits of underground mineral waters, underground drinking waters, amber, and sand for a total amount of UAH 15.5 million were sold at auctions, with the initial cost of the lots being UAH 10.5 million. As a result of competitive bidding, the cost of permits increased by almost 1.5 times.
The largest increase was recorded during the sale of a special permit for the use of the subsoil of the Hrytsky-2 site with amber deposits - the price increased almost 2.5 times, from UAH 3.3 million to UAH 8.0 million.
The results of the auctions confirm the effectiveness of the competitive mechanism and the stable interest of investors in subsoil use objects.
