On May 27, 2026, an online meeting of the Acting Head of the State Geological Survey of Ukraine, Serhiy Vlasenko, with the leadership of the Geological Survey of Canada took place.
During the meeting, issues of transition to the practical implementation of the Cooperation Agreement, which was concluded at the end of 2025 between the geological services of both countries, were discussed.
During the meeting, Serhiy Vlasenko noted that the State Service for Geonadra is now ready to move on to practical steps within the framework of the aforementioned Agreement, which should include joint projects on the interpretation of geological data, exchange of experience and knowledge between specialists, and help attract investors to the mining industry of Ukraine.
The Canadian side confirmed this approach and will forward its vision of projects for joint implementation. It was agreed to continue regular working contacts to form a portfolio of interaction within the framework of the Agreement.
