The event brought together representatives of government, business, international organisations, and investors to discuss the future of Ukraine’s resource economy

On 24 September 2025, Kyiv hosted the first annual international forum “United by Mining”, which united key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, international partners, and investors to explore strategies for developing Ukraine’s resource-based economy.

The event was organised by the National Association of Mining Industry of Ukraine with the support of the U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Section in Ukraine.

The forum’s programme focused on four main themes:

  • Sustainable reconstruction of Ukraine;
  • International partnership — mechanisms of cooperation and successful Ukrainian cases in the critical minerals sector;
  • Ukraine’s potential — launching the Reconstruction Fund and defining Ukraine’s role in the global supply chain;
  • Defence hub — synergy between the defence and mining industries to strengthen Ukraine’s national security.

The mission of the forum is to build a modern model of partnership between Ukraine and the world in the field of natural resources, based on trust, sustainability, and shared responsibility for the future.

The event became an important platform for fostering international dialogue, expanding investment opportunities, and shaping strategic decisions for the sustainable development of Ukraine’s mining sector.
