The European Business Association’s Subsurface Use Committee is conducting a survey to assess the state of the extractive industry, the impact of the war, regulatory changes and necessary reforms

The European Business Association’s Subsurface Use Committee has launched its fourth expert study, ‘Subsurface Use in a State of War and Prospects for Development’. The survey aims to assess the current state of the sector, the impact of martial law on business operations, the effectiveness of interaction between businesses and state bodies, and to identify priority regulatory reforms and changes necessary for the sector’s sustainable development.

The findings will help to shape a consolidated position within the business community on the current challenges and prospects for the development of the subsoil use sector.

Industry representatives are invited to take part in an online survey and share their practical experience by 31 July 2026.
