The event was jointly organized by Invest Ukraine, the Geological Survey of Canada, the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, and the Canadian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (CUCC).
More than 70 companies and representatives of Canadian and Ukrainian businesses participated in the event.
During his presentation, Serhiy Vlasenko emphasized that Ukraine has been and remains a major mining nation with experience and promising reserves and resources of a wide range of minerals classified as strategic and critical.
Within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation between the geological services of both countries, it was agreed to conduct a joint desk and field study to verify the existing data and obtain more up-to-date and complete geological information on such manifestations. This is a geological structure known as the Korosten Pluton. The new data obtained will facilitate investment decisions by potential partners.
This event in a mixed government-business format is another step in the development of Ukrainian-Canadian partnership in the geological and mining industry. Special thanks to Genevieve Marquis, head of the Geological Survey of Canada, and Zenon Potichny, president of CUCC, for their personal inspiration in supporting Ukraine.
