The meeting of the Interagency Working Group of the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine considered the implementation of previous decisions and further measures for managing mineralized mine water in Kryvbas.

The Ministry of Economy and Environment is working on engaging international partners in the development of technical solutions, as well as exploring funding options for urgent measures through state and local budgets and international technical assistance.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for the regulated discharge of excess return water during the 2026–2027 intervegetation period, the technical inspection of the storage pond in the Svistunova ravine, and the assessment of water resources in the Inhulets River basin.

A comprehensive analysis of the condition of the Inhulets River basin, an assessment of the current water management situation, and a forecast of its development are to be prepared before the next meeting. A separate meeting of the Working Group focusing on technical solutions is also planned.
