The company has taken the necessary steps to resume operations at its plants, and at the start of trading in London, its shares rose by 29 per cent to 36.88 pence.
In light of numerous documented incidents of attacks on ports and vessels in the Black Sea, Ferrexpo plans to focus its exports on customers in Europe. Earlier, in early August, the company suspended production in Ukraine due to the constant threat of Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports and surrounding infrastructure.
On 4 September, Ferrexpo raised approximately $100 million by issuing 448,848,484 new shares at a price of 16.5 pence per share. The capital injection helped the company avoid bankruptcy.
