As part of the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference “Geological Structure and Mineral Resources of Ukraine”, a study excursion to the National Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took place on 18 September 2025.
The event brought together conference participants, including representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists, as well as invited students of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Institute of Geology”.
During the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore unique exhibits on the geology and mineral resources of Ukraine, with particular attention to critical raw materials, which are of strategic importance for the country’s economy and security.
Participants were introduced to the activities of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists, in particular, the GSEU project. One of the areas of focus of this project is to strengthen the network of geological research on critical raw materials and sustainable management of mineral resources. This area corresponds to Work Package 2 (WP2) of the GSEU project.
