During the event, participants analysed the progress made in implementing hydrocarbon production-sharing agreements (PSA), discussed plans for further geological exploration, the prospects for developing the PSA framework, and ways to improve the regulatory framework governing them.
Particular attention was paid to issues relating to the implementation of the PSA under martial law, in particular the continuation of the geological survey phases, the approval of work programmes and budgets, the conduct of inspections, and the refinement of the existing terms of the agreements. The participants also visited the production facilities of one of the PSA projects, where they familiarised themselves with the processes of natural gas extraction and processing, as well as the operation of the hydrocarbon production metering station.
The key topic of the meeting was strengthening cooperation between the state and investors to develop hydrocarbon production and enhance Ukraine’s energy security.
