On 15 October, within the framework of the 9th Kyiv Oil & Gas Conference – Newfolk: Drilling. Intensification. Ecology & Occupational Safety and the Oil & Gas Expo 2025, a joint session of the Union of Drillers of Ukraine and industry associations took place on the topic: “Rock-Cutting and Metalworking Tools – Equipment, Technology of Production, and Application.”
The event brought together leading industry specialists to discuss current challenges, production issues, and the use and improvement of various tools for drilling and metalworking operations.
Representing the Ukrainian Association of Geologists (UAG), Candidate of Geological Sciences and Corresponding Member of the Academy of Mining Sciences of Ukraine, Natalia Cherniyenko, delivered a special presentation titled “The Geological School of Leonid Haletsky.”
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of a Jubilee Award – the Medal “For Services to the Development of Drilling” to Natalia Cherniyenko by the Board of the Union of Drillers of Ukraine. The award was presented by Anatoliy Ivanovich Vdovychenko, President of the Union, and Volodymyr Mykolayovych Kalynovych, Chair of the Board.
