June 4. Dublin, Ireland. A one-day training event

The Pan-European Reserves and Resources Reporting Committee (PERC) and the Institute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI) are running a one-day training event in Dublin on 4 June 2026 on the topic of “Critical Raw Material Resource Classification and Reporting using UNFC and CRIRSCO”.

This event will be held at the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment’s Tom Johnson House, Haddington Road, Dublin, D04K7X4 with the half-day morning session also being available to attend online. The full day including the workshop in the afternoon is for in-person attendees only.

The event is aimed at providing those working in the minerals industry and government departments with responsibility for this sector to learn more about the specific requirements of, and reporting systems used, by those working in industry and government. The event will be of particular interest to those wishing to learn more about the implications of the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act for minerals reporting in Europe.

The event will consist of the following:

  • A morning session which will include a series of presentations aimed at providing participants with an understanding of reporting on mineral exploration progress and the differing requirements and concerns of governments, minerals companies and investors to support their decisions on matters such as regulatory and tax regimes, strategic planning, business management and investment decisions. The similarities and differences in the requirements of government and industry will be illustrated by reference to the CRIRSCO-aligned systems and the use of the UNFC for the classification of mineral projects. The use of UNFC in the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act will also be discussion. This session will also be offered as an online webinar.
  • In the afternoon, a workshop (for in-person attendees only) will provide participants with the opportunity to exchange ideas whilst working on exercises designed to identify key features from reports based on the CRIRSCO and UNFC systems, as well as a high-level introduction to the use of the CRIRSCO Template to UNFC Bridging Document.

The Pan European Reserves and Resources Reporting Committee (PERC) is the organisation responsible for setting standards for public reporting of exploration results, mineral resources, and mineral reserves by companies listed on markets in Europe. It is a member of CRIRSCO, the Committee For Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards, and the PERC Reporting Standard is fully aligned with the CRIRSCO Reporting Template.

PERC is established formally as a not-for-profit organisation (‘asbl’) registered in Brussels.
