The 7th edition of the Raw Materials Information System (RMIS) Workshop (23-24 September, Brussels) will again be a unique chance to discuss how to make raw material value chains more secure, sustainable and competitive!
The theme of this 2025 edition is: "Leveraging raw materials to strengthen EU competitiveness: from research to innovation - Channelling knowledge from European projects & research initiatives into the Raw Materials Information System (RMIS)"
Co-hosted by HaDEA, the 2-day workshop will gather representatives from the European institutions, industry, academia, and EU funded projects.
Key objectives of the event include:
- To improve awareness of EU-projects focused on critical / strategic / advanced materials;
- Discuss how projects’ outputs can become more visible through the RMIS and help fulfil existing knowledge needs identified by policy, while also boosting EU (industrial/economic) competitiveness;
- Identify options for more circular and sustainable value chains in strategic sectors and technologies, such as permanent magnets and vehicles value chains;
- Understand better how JRC knowledge platforms like the RMIS can be best used to facilitate education initiatives on raw materials and fill existing gaps.
