The Institute of Geology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv invites school leavers, undergraduates, postgraduates and young researchers to the 16th All-Ukrainian Youth Scientific Conference-School “Contemporary Issues in Earth Sciences”, to be held on 8–9 April 2026.
The following sections are planned:
- General and historical geology, geography in geology.
- Geology, exploration and prospecting for oil and gas deposits.
- Geology of mineral deposits and economic geology.
- Environmental safety; hydrogeology, engineering geology.
- Geophysics.
- Geoinformatics and modern information technologies in Earth sciences.
- Geochemistry, mineralogy, petrology.
- Land and property valuation.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students will have the opportunity to publish and present the results of their research. For school pupils, the conference will also broaden their understanding of the role of geology in Earth sciences, and will serve as a significant point of reference and an advantage in their application letter when applying to Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
To participate in the conference, you must submit an application and an abstract by 3 April 2026 inclusive.
Conference materials will be included in a collection of papers to be published on the website of the Institute of Geology.
